Translating an airy motif into heavy, layered wood.
Feathers have long symbolized freedom and a connection to the natural world. Instead of a flat painting, our workshop translates this airy motif into structured wood—contrasting the delicate curves of the barbs with the rigid geometry of the rectangular base.
We start by mapping the feather's natural flow into vector lines. A high-precision laser cuts each of the seven layers from premium pine MDF. Our makers then hand-align and bond the wood-grain, matte cream, and espresso layers to build the 3D profile.
